Fluminense defenders have recently sustained shoulder injuries during Brasileirão matches. 

On August 16, defender Igor Rabello suffered an “acromioclavicular shoulder dislocation” during a match against Palmeiras. Rabello was substituted and required medical examinations to determine if surgery would be necessary.

Following this, on August 24, defender Samuel Xavier also suffered a left shoulder dislocation during a 2-1 victory over Remo. Medical staff have ordered rest for Xavier while imaging exams are conducted to determine his recovery timeline. His injury may require a “conservative treatment approach” similar to that of Rabello.
