Following a five-month investigation by the Carabinieri of Parma and the Cultural Heritage Protection Command, the Fondazione Magnani-Rocca has recovered three major artworks stolen in March. 

The recovered pieces include Pierre-Auguste Renoir’s ‘Les Poissons’ (circa 1917), Paul Cézanne’s ‘Tasse et plat de cerises’ (circa 1890), and Henri Matisse’s ‘Odalisque sur la terrasse’ (1922). The recovery, authorized by the Parma Prosecutor’s Office, restores what Scientific Director Stefano Roffi described as “one of the most important collections of Impressionist works in Italy.”
