# Food safety recalls in Croatia

The Croatian State Inspectorate has issued multiple food recalls due to bacterial and mold contamination. 

In late August 2026, authorities recalled S-Budget smoked ribs from SPAR stores because of confirmed Listeria monocytogenes, as well as Milbona High Protein Pudding Chocolate from Lidl due to Bacillus cereus. 

By mid-September 2026, further recalls were issued for HAPIH Mazafati dates due to increased mold levels and Class A table eggs from Proizvodno-Trgovinski obrt Dami and OPG Željko Mijić following the identification of Salmonella Enteritidis on the farm.
