The football season in Ceuta has officially commenced, marked by community religious ceremonies and the resumption of team training. The Real Federación de Fútbol de Ceuta (RFFCE) inaugurated the season with prayers at the Sidi Embarek mosque and offerings to the Virgin of Africa.

Competitive play is scheduled to begin with youth categories, including benjamines and alevines in football-7, followed by junior, debutant, women's, and regional preferred leagues. Registration remains high, with 103 futsal teams and 110 football and football-7 teams participating. Additionally, the AD Ceuta FC Genuine team has returned to training at the Emilio Cózar field, utilizing football as a tool for social inclusion.

Expanding on these activities, the RFFCE has announced its participation in the 2026-27 Spanish Autonomous Selection Championships (CESA) for futsal. The federation will field six selections, including male and female sub-14 and sub-16 teams competing between February 24 and April 4, 2027, as well as sub-12 teams participating from April 22 to 25, 2027.

Furthermore, RFFCE sports schools have launched a new season at the ‘Emilio Cózar’ field. Approximately 250 children aged 4 to 12 are enrolled in the program, which is scheduled to run through May 2027. The season opening included a tribute to the Spanish national football team, with students wearing kits inspired by the world champions.
