In the San José de Sisa region of Peru, local football clubs are participating in the fourth round of the national tournament phase. Matches such as the fixture between Sport Huaja and Shanao FC at the Eladio Tapullima Stadium are being held to determine which teams will join the top 32 to advance to the second phase.

Amidst these competitions, there have been calls for regional authorities to provide more support for local athletes. While several competitors from the department have qualified for national stages in Lima and potentially South American competitions, concerns persist regarding a lack of sustained financial and institutional support necessary for their professional development.
