Sources: 30. Developments: 4. Sports Interactive and SEGA have announced the release of Football Manager 27, scheduled for November 2026. The title will be available on PC (Steam, Epic Games Store, and Microsoft Store), PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, Mac, and mobile devices via Netflix, with availability on Xbox Game Pass from launch. Due to Brazilian image rights legislation, the game is not expected to be officially sold in the Brazilian market at launch. The new installment features a transition to the Unity graphics engine and a redesigned user interface intended to be more intuitive and streamlined. Technical enhancements include improved matchday atmospheres with dynamic crowd behavior, updated weather and lighting effects, and more realistic player models. Gameplay updates include the reintroduction of the ‘Deadline Day’ transfer mechanic, alongside new features such as ‘Tactical Tweaks’ and ‘Tactical Effectiveness’. To rebuild community trust following the cancellation of Football Manager 25 and criticism regarding bugs in Football Manager 26, developers have announced a free-to-play period. While initial reports suggested a trial from October 29 through November 3, subsequent details from SEGA specify a ‘Launch Preview’ available from October 30 to November 4, 2026. This preview will be accessible on Steam, Epic, Microsoft Store, and Game Pass services without requiring a sign-up. Career saves started during this period will carry over to the full version, which is scheduled to launch on November 11, 2026. Players who pre-order during the trial period can receive a 10% discount. ## Timeline ### 2026-10-23: SEGA announces free launch preview for Football Manager 27 SEGA and Sports Interactive will offer a free five-day Launch Preview of Football Manager 27 from October 30 to November 4, ahead of its official release on November 11. 4 sources. https://clstr.news/cluster/sega-announces-free-launch-preview-for-football-manager-27 ### 2026-10-21: Sports Interactive offers free trial for Football Manager 27 Sports Interactive is offering a five-day free trial of Football Manager 27 from October 29 to November 3 to rebuild player trust before its official November 10 launch. 17 sources. https://clstr.news/cluster/sports-interactive-announces-free-to-play-period-for-football-manager-27 ### 2026-10-03: Football Manager 27 release date announced for November 2026 Football Manager 27 is set to launch in November 2026 on PC, consoles, and mobile via Netflix, featuring the Unity engine and a redesigned interface. 4 sources. https://clstr.news/cluster/football-manager-27-release-date-and-platforms-announced ### 2026-09-26: Sports Interactive announces Football Manager 27 for November release Sports Interactive announced Football Manager 27 will launch in November, featuring a redesigned user interface, improved navigation, and enhanced customization options. 5 sources. https://clstr.news/cluster/sports-interactive-announces-football-manager-27-for-november-release-1 --- Cite as: Football Manager 27 release and trial details.
