Forest fires in Indonesia have led to various casualties and property damage across different regions. In Kotawaringin Timur, Central Kalimantan, thick smoke from forest fires reduced visibility to as little as two meters, contributing to a fatal traffic accident on Jalan Jenderal Sudirman where a motorcycle collided with a palm oil truck, resulting in two deaths.

In the Toraja region, fires have caused significant destruction to forests, homes, and cultural heritage sites. In North Toraja, forest fires destroyed dozens of traditional burial caves and hundreds of coffins, prompting investigations into potential arson. In Tana Toraja, a residential fire destroyed a home, suspected to be caused by an electrical short circuit. Regional officials noted that over 400 hectares of forest have burned due to dry weather and highlighted a critical shortage of firefighting equipment.
