The body was formed following protests from top players seeking more influence over tournament decisions and increased revenue. The council consists of twelve members, split equally between the men’s and women’s tours. The men’s representatives are Novak Djokovic, Alexander Zverev, Ben Shelton, Felix Auger-Aliassime, Lorenzo Musetti, and Arthur Rinderknech. The women’s representatives are Elena Rybakina, Aryna Sabalenka, Jessica Pegula, Iva Jovic, Elina Svitolina, and Maria Sakkari. Notable players such as Jannik Sinner, Carlos Alcaraz, and Coco Gauff are not part of the group. The council is intended to address sporting regulations and economic matters, including revenue sharing and prize money distribution, across the Australian Open, Roland Garros, Wimbledon, and the US Open. While the council aims to address common issues, specific discussions regarding welfare and prize money will be managed individually with each Major tournament. ## Timeline ### 2026-09-28: Grand Slam Player Advisory Council members announced The Grand Slam Player Advisory Council has been formed with twelve members, including Novak Djokovic and Lorenzo Musetti, but notably excludes Jannik Sinner and Carlos Alcaraz. 15 sources. https://clstr.news/cluster/grand-slam-player-council-announces-new-membership ### 2026-09-27: Aryna Sabalenka and Novak Djokovic to join new Grand Slam player council Tennis stars including Aryna Sabalenka and Novak Djokovic will join a new advisory council to facilitate dialogue between players and Grand Slam organizers regarding tournament decisions and revenue. 3 sources. https://clstr.news/cluster/aryna-sabalenka-and-novak-djokovic-to-join-new-grand-slam-player-council --- Cite as: Formation of Grand Slam Player Advisory Council.
