Epic Games has launched a crossover event between Fortnite and the Kingdom Hearts franchise as part of the Chapter 7 Season 4 ‘Override’ update. The collaboration features playable skins for characters including Sora, Riku, Kairi, and Roxas.

The update integrates specific gameplay mechanics alongside cosmetic items. The Keyblade has been introduced as a Mythic melee weapon, enabling players to perform close-range combos and trigger lightning strikes. Additionally, Sea-Salt Ice Cream has been added as a consumable item capable of restoring both health and shields. Environmental changes are also present, most notably a heart-shaped moon in the game sky.

Following the initial launch and the scheduled ‘Power Hours’ on September 19, the collaboration has expanded. While Sora is a confirmed playable skin, teasers featuring dialogue from characters such as Roxas, Kairi, and Riku suggest further potential expansions for the franchise within the game’s Item Shop.
