The France Under 21 national team progressed through their European Championship qualification, beginning with a 2-0 victory over Estonia.

Following that win, France secured official qualification for the 2027 U21 European Championship in Albania and Serbia after a 3-2 victory against Luxembourg. Although Steve Ngoura scored twice early in the match, France was forced to play with a man disadvantage after Joane Gadou received a straight red card. Luxembourg equalized through Ivan Englaro, but captain Mathys Tel scored a decisive goal in the 76th minute to clinch the win with one game remaining in the group.

France faces a final fixture against Switzerland, though the squad may be weakened by the absence of Gadou and an injury to Jean-Matteo Bahoya.
