In late July, the Association of Mayors of France launched a nationwide donation drive to fund reconstruction, re‑vegetation and support for families displaced by the wildfires that had scorched thousands of hectares in the Var department and other regions. The fundraiser attracted 168 donors and raised €6,273, enough for over 1,200 meals serving more than 300 fire crews. These actions illustrate how community groups across France continued to mobilise resources and provide direct aid to those impacted by the fires.
