Freedom Holding Corp., through its subsidiary Freedom Finansal Hizmetler A.Ş., completed the purchase of more than 99% of Turkish Bank’s share capital in late July 2026. Regulatory approval from Turkey’s Banking Regulation and Supervision Agency and the Competition Authority enabled the share transfer and a subsequent general assembly to rename the lender Freedom Bank A.Ş.

The rebranding was accompanied by the appointment of a new board, including Vladimir Pochekuev as chairman and founder Timur Turlov as a board member. Freedom Holding also launched a US$300 million ordinary share offering to fund its expansion, positioning the newly branded Freedom Bank as a gateway for its Kazakhstan‑origin “SuperApp” ecosystem into the Turkish market.

The acquisition gives Freedom Holding a regulated banking foothold in Turkey, allowing it to offer a full suite of deposit, payment, lending and wealth‑management services under the Freedom Bank brand.
