The French national rugby union team faces an escalating injury crisis ahead of the November Nations Championship. While head coach Fabien Galthié initially responded to the absences of Thibaud Flament, Emmanuel Meafou, Matthieu Jalibert, and Thomas Ramos by announcing a 42-man squad—including the returns of Gregory Alldritt and Antoine Dupont—new setbacks have further depleted the roster.

Recent reports indicate that rising center Fabien Brau-Boirie sustained a knee injury during a match against Toulon. Additionally, tighthead prop Karl Sorin requires surgery for a shoulder injury and will be replaced by Thomas Laclayat. Other players facing availability issues include Charles Ollivon, who was observed with wrist issues, Marko Gazzotti with a hamstring injury, and Baptiste Serin, who sustained a concussion. Antoine Hastoy and Sipili Falatea have also been reported as unavailable.

In women’s handball, Lylou Borg remains ruled out of upcoming matches against Hungary due to a confirmed foot fracture.
