During the 2026 Toussaint holiday period in France, various travel destinations and local activities have been highlighted.

Initial reports focused on regional travel destinations, including coastal cities like Saint-Malo, Biarritz, and Nice, as well as inland areas such as Aubusson and the Béarn region. Notable events included the departure of the Route du Rhum in Saint-Malo and tapestry exhibitions in Aubusson.

Subsequent updates detailed specific themed programs organized for children. In Bordeaux, family-oriented scavenger hunts such as ‘Le Mystère du Château Disparu’ were introduced, while Villenauxe-la-Grande organized a holiday program titled ‘Le Mystère du Loup de Villenauxe-la-Grande’ featuring creative workshops and investigations.

Regarding the 2026 schedule, the Toussaint autumn holidays are set from October 17 to November 2. Notably, these dates are identical across all school zones (A, B, and C), unlike the staggered winter and spring breaks. While the official period begins on Saturday, October 17, travel may commence as early as Friday, October 16, for certain students.

Travelers are advised to monitor Bison Futé for traffic forecasts. Because specific hourly road congestion predictions are typically released only a few days before departure weekends, it is recommended to maintain flexible departure times and check real-time conditions shortly before traveling.
