Frontier Airlines has announced its first expansion into South America, planning to launch nonstop service from Orlando International Airport (MCO) to three Colombian cities in December 2026. 

The scheduled routes include daily service to Medellín starting December 10, service to Bogotá starting December 14, and weekly flights to Cartagena beginning December 19. While Bogotá service will initially operate six times per week, it is expected to move to daily service by March 2027. 

This expansion is part of the airline’s ‘The New Frontier’ strategy, which includes service upgrades such as UpFront Plus seating. The move aims to address demand for low-cost travel between Florida and Colombia, with promotional fares starting at $99. The new routes remain subject to government approval.
