In early September, police captured a 28-year-old Turkish national who had escaped from a Turkish prison following court-approved leave. The individual was sentenced to 26 years for crimes including attempted murder. The arrest was the result of cooperation between the International Fugitive Investigation Group and Turkish police. Two individuals were also identified for providing logistical support to hide the fugitive. The suspect is expected to be extradited to Turkey.
