Authorities in Vietnam have apprehended two individuals who had been evading law enforcement for extended periods.

In Dong Nai province, police arrested a man who had been using a false identity to avoid capture for 18 years. Following an administrative inspection of a boarding house, officers identified the suspect as Nguyen Ngoc Viet, a person wanted by Nha Trang City Police in Khanh Hoa province since July 2008. He was transferred to Nha Trang ward police for processing.

In Lâm Đồng province, police arrested Nguyễn Thị Hồng, who had been a fugitive since 2016. She was wanted by the Đà Lạt City Police Investigation Agency for “consuming property obtained through another person's crime.” During her decade on the run, she frequently changed residences and worked unstable manual labor jobs to avoid detection.
