After defeating BetBoom 2-0 in the Thunderpick World Championship qualifiers, the team prepared for a high-stakes matchup against Legacy, which player Kaike ‘KSCERATO’ Cerato described as a ‘war’ and a ‘derby.’ FURIA subsequently reached the Thunderpick World Championship final, marking their first major final since the IEM Cologne Major. Yuri ‘yuurih’ Santos attributed this success to improved communication and strategic adjustments. Simultaneously, the team maintained its run in the Worlds 2026 Play-In Stage by defeating Cloud9 3-1, overcoming an early deficit to secure a rematch against MVK. In the Thunderpick World Championship, FURIA secured a spot in the final against BetBoom Team after a 2-0 semifinal victory over Aurora Gaming, a result that marked a turnaround from a previous loss to Aurora in the ESL Pro League. In League of Legends, the victory over Cloud9 eliminated the North American team from Worlds 2026, with Andrey ‘Ayu’ Saraiva earning MVP honors. FURIA’s upcoming rematch against MVK Esports will determine who advances to face Karmine Corp for a position in the Swiss Stage. Additionally, veteran player Gabriel ‘FalleN’ Toledo reached a career milestone of 19 international titles across CS:GO and CS2 following the team’s recent performances. ## Timeline ### 2026-10-17: FURIA advances in Thunderpick Championship and Worlds 2026 FURIA reaches the Thunderpick 2026 final and advances in the League of Legends Worlds 2026 Play-In stage after defeating Cloud9 3-1. 6 sources. https://clstr.news/cluster/furia-advances-in-worlds-2026-and-reaches-thunderpick-final ### 2026-10-14: FURIA advances to face Legacy in Thunderpick World Championship qualifier FURIA defeated BetBoom 2-0 in the Thunderpick World Championship qualifiers, setting up a decisive playoff qualifying match against Legacy. 3 sources. https://clstr.news/cluster/furia-advances-to-face-legacy-in-thunderpick-world-championship-qualifier --- Cite as: FURIA competitive performance in late 2026.
