Galatasaray reclaimed the lead in the Trendyol Süper Lig following a 1-0 victory over Kocaelispor at RAMS Park. The match was decided by a 71st-minute goal from defender Abdülkerim Bardakcı.

The win marked Galatasaray’s fourth consecutive league victory, bringing their total to 13 points. While the team secured the top spot, head coach Okan Buruk noted the tactical and psychological impact of striker Victor Osimhen’s injury absence.

Following the match, discussions emerged regarding player performance and squad management. Specifically, Barış Alper Yılmaz has faced scrutiny for a lack of offensive production this season. In response, Buruk is reportedly considering a tactical shift that would move Yılmaz to a right-back position to accommodate upcoming squad changes involving Rafael Leao and the eventual return of Osimhen.
