In December 2026, a 4K remastered version of the anime film ‘Farewell to Galaxy Express 999: Andromeda Station’ is scheduled for a nationwide revival screening to mark the 45th anniversary of its original release.

Further celebrating the franchise, a new stage production titled ‘Yojohan no Daiuchu’ (The Great Universe of a Four-and-a-Half Mat Room) will run from March 31 to April 11, 2027, at Kinokuniya Hall in Tokyo. This production marks the 50th anniversary of the manga and is a collaboration with Kinokuniya to celebrate their 100th anniversary.
