Authorities in Criciúma, Santa Catarina, are investigating multiple incidents of gang rape.

In late August, police began investigating the assault of a 16-year-old girl who was allegedly forced into a vehicle by four men. Following the attack, the victim was left on the street. A delivery driver who attempted to assist the victim was also placed under investigation for allegedly making unwanted sexual advances during the rescue.

In early September, a second report emerged involving a 22-year-old woman. The victim stated she was approached by four hooded men while walking on Avenida Centenário in the Pinheirinho neighborhood. She was reportedly forced into a black vehicle and abandoned on a public road following the assault. The Civil Police are currently working to identify the suspects and locate the vehicle involved.
