Set in a nightmare world called Dreamland triggered by a spinach lasagna, the game tasks players with navigating over 40 levels to recover Garfield’s sense of taste. Gameplay features unique costumes—including turkey, surfer, and cowboy—that grant specific movement abilities like flying or using a lasso. The adventure includes franchise characters such as Odie, Arlene, and Pooky. Initial reception was mixed; while some critics noted a colorful and accessible experience, others described the gameplay as “dull and overly familiar.” As of September 24, 2026, the game has officially launched on PC and consoles, including Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S. The title places the character created by Jim Davis in an active role, requiring players to navigate three different worlds dominated by vegetables and sugar-free sweets to collect lasagnas and wake up. ## Timeline ### 2026-09-24: Garfield – Escape from Monday released for consoles and PC Garfield – Escape from Monday has launched for consoles and PC, featuring a 3D platforming adventure where the iconic cat must navigate a dreamworld to escape a spinach lasagna nightmare. 6 sources. https://clstr.news/cluster/garfield-escape-from-monday-released-on-multiple-platforms ### 2026-09-22: Garfield – Escape from Monday 3D platformer set for 2026 release Garfield – Escape from Monday is a 3D platformer by OSome Studio and Microids, set to release in September 2026.
