Mirel Rădoi departed from the Turkish football club Gaziantep after managing only seven matches. The decision followed a 1-2 loss against Rizespor. To facilitate the premature end to his contract, which was originally set to run until June 2027, Rădoi reportedly accepted a compensation payment of 200,000 euros. Gaziantep Vice President Dagdeviren Guney characterized the departure as being due to a “lack of synergy rather than conflict.”

Following Rădoi’s exit, the club also terminated the contract of Romanian defender Florin Ștefan by mutual agreement. Ștefan, a player recruited by Rădoi, left the team amid fan backlash and criticism of his performances. These departures coincide with the appointment of new coach Orhan Ak as the club attempts to change direction.
