Geely is attempting to address a significant downturn in its micro-EV segment in China. Between January and July 2026, sales for the Panda Mini line experienced a 77 percent year-on-year decline, with 23,377 units sold during that period.

To combat this decline and compete with rivals like the Wuling Hongguang EV and Changan Lumin, Geely has launched the Panda Mini Karting Edition. This updated model features a go-kart inspired design, including a decorative aerokit, 14-inch wheels, and a large rear wing. Technical upgrades include the integration of a 17.2 kWh Lithium Iron Phosphate (LFP) battery manufactured by CATL, replacing previous Gotion batteries. The new model is being offered at a promotional price of approximately 43,900 yuan ($6,540 USD) in the Chinese market.
