Actor George Clooney is planning to open a high-end Italian restaurant in the village of Cotignac, located in the Var department of France. The project is expected to open in the spring of 2027 and will occupy the former site of the restaurant Les 3 Marches, which is currently undergoing renovation.

Clooney is reportedly partnering with Graham Porter, a Canadian businessman and owner of the nearby Lou Calen hotel. While the Cotignac mayor, Jean-Pierre Véran, has confirmed Clooney’s involvement, reports indicate that formal plans have not yet been submitted to the municipality. 

The venture follows Clooney and his wife, Amal Clooney, relocating their family to the south of France; the couple obtained French citizenship in 2025.
