German basketball and volleyball competitions have commenced for the season. In basketball, newly promoted BG Tamm/Bietigheim began with a strong performance, securing three consecutive wins through an aggressive defensive style. However, MLP Academics Heidelberg later suffered their first loss of the season against SBB Börde Baskets, struggling with turnovers and physical play.

In the women’s DBBL Cup, Talents BonnRhöndorf lost a close match to UBC Münster, 77:80, despite a high volume of three-point shooting from their young roster.

In volleyball, VC Wiesbaden began its season under new head coach Paul Sens with an away match against USC Münster.
