German streaming platforms and media libraries have been expanding their on-demand content catalogs throughout July and August 2026.

In late July, ARD Mediathek announced an expansion of its free catalogue, including the Luc Besson film ‘Im Rausch der Tiefe’ and a curated selection of films for August such as ‘Die Fotografin’ and ‘Judy’. 

By mid-August, updates continued across multiple services. ARD Mediathek added titles including ‘Der Rosengarten von Madame Vernet’, ‘Süßsee’, and ‘Kennen Sie Ihren Liebhaber?’. Other platforms also updated their offerings, with Joyn introducing new episodes of ‘Futurama’, ‘Forged in Fire’, and ‘Detective Conan’, while RTL+ scheduled a livestream for the soap opera ‘Unter uns’.
