Various German Volksbank branches have issued charitable donations to local rescue and aid organizations.

In September, Volksbank Sauerland awarded 100,000 euros to 73 organizations through its “Heimathelden” initiative, supporting groups such as the German Red Cross, the Technical Relief Agency (THW), and various volunteer fire departments in the Hochsauerlandkreis and Olpe districts. 

In October, Vereinte Volksbank donated 26,000 euros to causes in Dorsten. This funding included 6,000 euros derived from a concert event, which was allocated to the Altstadt fire brigade platoon and the THW, supplemented by an additional 20,000 euros from the bank.
