Gerresheimer AG reported preliminary financial results for the first quarter of 2026, showing a slight revenue increase to EUR 524 million from EUR 519 million in the same period the previous year. 

Despite the revenue growth, the company experienced a decline in adjusted EBITDA, which fell to EUR 66 million from EUR 81 million in Q1 2025, reducing the adjusted EBITDA margin from 15.7 percent to 12.6 percent. Management attributed the lower earnings to a focus on free cash flow, which included reducing production volumes and optimizing inventory. 

The company is currently selling its Centor and Primary Packaging Plastics business units to funds advised by Apax Partners to strengthen its balance sheet and support debt reduction. Gerresheimer expects improved earnings in the second half of 2026, driven by its core divisions in injection systems, medical products, and drug delivery devices.
