Ghana’s Cyber Security Authority (CSA) has been enforcing licensing regulations by imposing administrative penalties on organizations providing regulated cybersecurity services without proper authorization.

In mid-August 2026, the CSA fined the Office of the Registrar of Companies (ORC) GH¢240,000 and Purpleline Solutions Limited GH¢120,000. The ORC was penalized for failing to engage Tier 1 licensed providers to protect its Critical Information Infrastructure, while Purpleline Solutions was fined for providing services before its license application was approved.

Shortly thereafter, the CSA resolved a separate dispute with EY Ghana regarding a GH¢360,000 penalty. The fine was issued after the firm allegedly failed to comply with multiple directives to obtain a Cybersecurity Service Provider license. Following discussions regarding administrative procedures and fees, both parties announced that the matter had been “satisfactorily resolved.”
