The conflict intensified following comments by Sarkodie regarding fan-driven rivalries, where he advised artists to avoid conflicts fueled by fans attacking other brands. Stonebwoy responded by accusing Sarkodie of failing to congratulate him after his OVO Arena Wembley concert and alleged that Sarkodie’s social media posts were directed at him. As the disagreement progressed, Stonebwoy identified Sarkodie and Shatta Wale as the targets of previous comments regarding ‘convenient friendships.’ He further alleged he was treated ‘inhumanely’ during a 2020 event and claimed Sarkodie had previously made subtle jabs at his physical health. Sarkodie has denied these allegations, stating he has never used social media to mock Stonebwoy and questioning why his posts were being linked to the artist. The dispute has expanded to include management figures, with discussions involving WhatsApp screenshots and past industry events such as the 2025 BHIMFest. ## Timeline ### 2026-09-11: Sarkodie and Stonebwoy engage in social media dispute Musicians Sarkodie and Stonebwoy have clashed on social media following Sarkodie's advice to artists regarding fan-driven rivalries and allegations of disrespect. 4 sources. https://clstr.news/cluster/sarkodie-and-stonebwoy-engage-in-social-media-dispute ### 2026-09-08: Stonebwoy names Sarkodie and Shatta Wale in social media feud Ghanaian musicians Stonebwoy, Sarkodie, and Shatta Wale are embroiled in a public feud following Stonebwoy’s claims of ‘convenient friendships’ and disagreements over industry principles. 9 sources. https://clstr.news/cluster/sarkodie-and-stonebwoy-clash-over-music-industry-principles --- Cite as: Ghanaian musicians Sarkodie and Stonebwoy social media feud.
