In September 2026, Jessica Hartog and three others were arraigned in Ghana’s High Court following the interception of a shipping container in Dunkirk, France. The container, which was declared as plastic waste, allegedly contained approximately four tonnes of cocaine valued at roughly $260 million.

The defendants, including Hartog and businessman Desmond Koranteng Curiel, pleaded not guilty to the charges. Investigations by Ghana’s Narcotics Control Commission (NACOC) reportedly recovered firearms, ammunition, luxury vehicles, and cash. The suspects were remanded into custody.

Following the legal proceedings, Prophet Kofi Oduro of Alabaster International Ministry issued a public warning to the ruling National Democratic Congress (NDC). He questioned the lifestyle of the suspects and cautioned the government against interfering in the judicial process before a verdict is reached.
