In Gia Lai province, nearly 8,000 square meters of land within a protected heritage and scenic area in Vinh Thanh commune remains unrecovered four years after an inspection confirmed illegal leasing. 

The land, situated at the Vinh Thanh Uprising Monument on Lam Vien Hill, was leased to an individual for an entertainment and sports center project. A 2022 inspection report determined that the Vinh Thanh District People's Committee violated the 2013 Land Law by approving the lease and land use certificates without necessary provincial approval. 

Although authorities cancelled permits, terminated contracts, and disconnected utilities, the site continues to operate as a coffee business. Despite previous orders to recover the land and revoke related certificates, the area has not yet been reclaimed.
