Sources: 13. Developments: 2. Nigerian striker Gift Orban has become a central figure for Amedspor in the Turkish Süper Lig. Following his arrival on loan from TSG Hoffenheim, Orban recorded seven goals and two assists in six matches, helping the newly promoted club reach the top of the league standings. His performance included a long-range strike during a 3-2 victory against Beşiktaş, an effort that was voted ‘goal of the week’ by fans and later earned him the Süper Lig ‘Goal of the Month’ award for September. Orban’s success has significant financial implications for Amedspor. The club’s loan agreement includes a mandatory purchase clause of approximately €3 million, to be paid in installments, which is triggered if he reaches 10 league goals. Having scored seven, he requires three more to finalize a permanent move. Alongside player success, the club has faced logistical and disciplinary issues. During the Beşiktaş match, the Passolig ticketing system experienced heavy traffic from approximately 122,000 users in ten minutes. Additionally, the club reported roughly 1 million TL in damages to the Diyarbakır Stadium caused by pyrotechnics, an incident currently under review by the Professional Football Disciplinary Board. ## Timeline ### 2026-10-02: Gift Orban wins Süper Lig Goal of the Month Nigerian forward Gift Orban won the Turkish Süper Lig Goal of the Month for September following a long-range strike for Amedspor against Beşiktaş. 2 sources. https://clstr.news/cluster/gift-orban-wins-sper-lig-goal-of-the-month ### 2026-09-22: Gift Orban nears permanent Amedspor move amid league success Amedspor striker Gift Orban is three goals away from triggering a €3 million permanent transfer clause after a prolific start to the Süper Lig season.
