In September 2026, she concluded a 26-show national theatre tour of the play ‘The Woman We Become’ across seven major Chinese cities, ending in Beijing. Following this tour, she planned to return to Hong Kong to promote her Mandarin album, ‘Gentle Existence’, and prepare for a concert at the Hong Kong Coliseum. By October 2026, Leung began a 12-stop North American lecture tour to support the English release of her short story collection, ‘Everyday Movement’. Published by Riverhead, the book examines the impact of the 2019 Hong Kong protests on individual identity and memory. Supported by Taiwan’s Ministry of Culture, the tour includes stops in several U.S. cities and Toronto. Leung, who relocated from Hong Kong to Taiwan in 2021, described the collection as the first part of a ‘Hong Kong trilogy’ intended to preserve the emotional memories of historical shifts. ## Timeline ### 2026-10-09: Author Gigi Leung begins North American tour for ‘Everyday Movement’ Author Gigi Leung is touring North America with her English-translated collection ‘Everyday Movement’, exploring the human impact of Hong Kong’s social unrest and political shifts. 2 sources. https://clstr.news/cluster/author-gigi-leung-begins-north-american-tour-for-everyday-movement ### 2026-09-10: Gigi Leung completes 26-show national theatre tour Gigi Leung has completed a 26-show national tour of the play ‘The Woman We Become’ across seven Chinese cities.
