# Gimnazija Obala reconstruction in Sarajevo

The Ministry of Education, Youth, Science, Culture and Sport of Sarajevo Canton has initiated a major reconstruction project for Gimnazija Obala, a historic school building. The project is part of a long-term investment strategy that has directed nearly 1.1 million KM toward the facility to date.

The first phase of the renovation, with an allocated budget of 330,000 KM, focuses on the roof and lightning protection systems. Future phases are expected to include the replacement of external joinery and facade renovations in cooperation with the Ministry of Communal Economy, Infrastructure, Spatial Planning, Construction, and Environmental Protection of Sarajevo Canton. 

Previous improvements at the school have included the renovation of the sports hall, upgrading classrooms and professional service rooms, installing hot water, enhancing security systems, and providing digital equipment and internet coverage.
