Reports from Kantar BrandZ and Interbrand for 2026 indicate significant shifts in brand valuations, driven by the technology sector and digital transformation.

Globally, the total value of the world’s 100 most powerful brands reached $3.866 trillion, an 8% increase from the previous year. Apple remains the top brand, while Google has moved into third place, overtaking Amazon. The technology sector now comprises half of the top 10 brands, with NVIDIA showing the highest growth at 71%. Other notable entries into the top 10 include YouTube, while McDonald’s and Mercedes-Benz have dropped out of the rankings.

In the financial services sector, the top 20 global brands surpassed a combined value of $1.2 trillion, a more than 20% increase from 2025. Mercado Pago entered the global top 20, ranking 19th.

In Brazil, the Kantar BrandZ ranking shows a 22% increase in total value for the 50 most valuable brands compared to 2024. Six new companies debuted in the Brazilian top 50, including iFood, Smart Fit, Inter, Stone, Mateus, and Vivara. iFood led these newcomers, ranking 11th with a value of $2.245 billion. The inclusion of these brands reflects a growing emphasis on digitalized sectors such as food delivery, fitness, and financial services.
