According to the Allianz Global Wealth Report 2026, global household financial wealth reached a record high of 268.4 trillion euros in 2025, an 8.6 percent increase driven largely by capital market gains. While North American and Chinese households saw significant increases in financial assets, Western Europe experienced much lower real growth.

In Slovenia, gross financial assets of households rose by 8.6 percent to 94.6 billion euros in 2025. Although household liabilities also increased by 7.1 percent, net financial assets grew by 9.1 percent to approximately 74.8 billion euros.
