The Global Journalists Council (GJC) organized the 2nd International Media Friendship Awards and a related archival exhibition in London to foster diplomatic and cultural ties between Turkey and the United Kingdom.

The initiative began with the arrival of a 30-person delegation for an exhibition titled ‘Turkey-London Relations,’ which utilized historical Turkish and British archival documents to explore the shared social memory and press history of the two nations. Following the main ceremony at Arundel House, the documentary exhibition, titled ‘Pages Opening to Friendship,’ was officially opened by Turkish Ambassador Koray Ertaş. The exhibition, which features 40 historical documents and newspaper headlines from the last century, is scheduled to move from the Yunus Emre Cultural Center to Manchester and Liverpool.
