In early September 2026, authorities in Colombia intercepted cocaine and marijuana in multiple locations, including an international airport and a high-speed vehicle pursuit. Concurrently, U.S. agencies in New York and Texas seized hundreds of kilograms of cocaine valued at millions of dollars. In Japan, police arrested individuals for the possession and sale of marijuana. In a separate joint operation between the United States and Sri Lanka, officials seized approximately 463 kilograms of crystal methamphetamine at the Colombo Port. The shipment, valued at an estimated $21 million, was concealed in bath towels within a shipping container.
