In September 2026, Europa-Park in Rust, Germany, was named the best theme park in the world for the 11th time at the Golden Ticket Awards. The award, presented by Amusement Today, recognized the park for its diverse attractions and digital innovation. Its water world, Rulantica, and the Voltron Nevera roller coaster also received high global rankings.

Later in the month, Blackpool Pleasure Beach Resort in the United Kingdom was named the world’s best theme park at the 2026 Park World Excellence Awards. This marked the first time a UK-based park received the ‘Best of the Best’ accolade. The resort also won ‘Best Ride of the Year’ for Aviktas, a rotating pendulum ride that opened in May 2026.
