Due to professional obligations, Marques accepted the honor via video call from Brussels, using her speech to make sarcastic remarks about her appearance and the technical connection. Following the gala, the event drew controversy regarding its 30th-anniversary special awards. Comedian Ricardo Araújo Pereira expressed discomfort during his acceptance speech in the Humor category. Additionally, actress Maria Rueff criticized the organization, alleging that the selection process reflects “persistent machismo in the industry” and noting a lack of historical memory by overlooking veteran performers in favor of the new special award format.
