Godiva is marking its 100th anniversary through various global collaborations and product releases. The brand launched the ‘Centennial Collection Art Edition’ in partnership with contemporary artist Ekrem Yalçındağ, featuring limited-edition chocolate designs inspired by his artwork. This collection includes a Tablets series with 5,000 units produced worldwide, featuring dark, milk, white, and gold chocolate varieties, as well as a Carrés series inspired by Yalçındağ’s 2014 artwork ‘Impressions’. The anniversary tour has included events in Japan, the United States, and Shanghai, with planned stops in Riyadh, Istanbul, and Belgium.

In Japan, the anniversary is being commemorated through multiple partnerships. A collaboration with Lawson involves a two-phase rollout of limited-edition sweets, including items such as ‘Dora-motchi’, chocolate parfaits, chocolate terrine crepes, chocolate cookie shoes, and roll cakes. 

Additionally, Godiva has partnered with Finnish design house Marimekko to celebrate both Godiva’s 100th anniversary and Marimekko’s 75th anniversary. This collaboration features products inspired by Nordic themes and the ‘Kukasta kukkaan’ design by Erja Hirvi. Offerings include café menu items like blueberry and cacao fruit rare cheesecake, Marimekko lattes, and blueberry crème brûlée crepes, alongside a gift collection of chocolates and merchandise such as mugs and tote bags.
