The Municipal Environmental Agency (Amma) in Goiânia has initiated a free tire collection program throughout October. The program aims to prevent irregular waste disposal and eliminate breeding grounds for disease vectors, specifically the Aedes aegypti mosquito.

Scheduled collection drives are set to occur across four regions: the southeast, northwest, west, and north. The initiative serves residents, repair shops, and large-scale generators. Collected materials will be sent for environmentally appropriate disposal with support from Reciclanip, while Amma technicians provide guidance on disposal regulations and reverse logistics.
