Goldgroup Mining has announced positive initial assay results from a 26,000-metre diamond drilling program at the San Francisco Gold Project in Sonora, Mexico. The drilling, conducted within the existing pit, identified high-grade intervals and broader zones of gold mineralization.

Specific intercepts include 23.4 metres grading 1.71 g/t gold and 16.8 metres grading 4.36 g/t gold. The company is using these findings to update geological, resource, and geotechnical models as part of a technical study to evaluate the potential restart and optimization of the former mine.

Approximately US$8.5 million has been allocated for current drilling and technical work. The technical study is slated for completion in the fourth quarter of 2026, which may lead to a potential restart of operations in the first quarter of 2027.
