Shakira also submitted the track ‘Dai Dai’, a collaboration with Burna Boy, for multiple categories. Other Nigerian artists, such as Asake, also participated in the submission process.

Subsequent updates confirmed that several Nigerian artists, including Davido, Asake, Tems, and Ayra Starr, have entered various categories such as Album of the Year, Record of the Year, and Best African Music Performance.
