The Independent Authority for Consumer Protection and Market Control in Greece announced plans to launch ‘myKataggelies’ in October. This digital platform is designed to allow citizens to submit and track consumer complaints via mobile devices to ensure faster resolutions.

To support this, the Authority intended to enhance oversight in September by gaining greater access to online data for real-time field cross-referencing. Additionally, a new phase of the ‘PosoKanei’ application was scheduled for November to provide expanded product coverage and consumer tools. Despoina Tsagari, President of the Authority, noted the objective is to transition toward “proactive market supervision” by using digital tools and artificial intelligence to identify and prevent repetitive business misconduct.
