In an interview on the program ‘Mia Ellada Parea’, Tsimitselis reflected on his upbringing in Mesolonghi and his connection to the village of Kryoneri. He expressed a desire to eventually relocate from Athens to a quieter location, such as Kastos or Halki, and spoke about his close bond with his mother, whom he described as a ‘heroic mother’ who raised him alone. Later, appearing on the ANT1 program ‘Proino’, Tsimitselis addressed a public rift with former friend and colleague Dimitris Ungarezos. While host Giorgos Liagas noted the conflict was a personal matter and stated he would not attempt to create a ‘television trap’ by forcing a confrontation, Tsimitselis maintained a measured tone. He declined to reignite the conflict, instead wishing Ungarezos a successful upcoming season. Tsimitselis remarked that it was a good move for Ungarezos to be on the show because he ‘should be on Greek television.’ During the same appearance, Tsimitselis discussed his upcoming film project, ‘Molis Xanachoris’, a sequel to ‘Molis Chorisa’. He noted that filming has commenced for the project, which stars him alongside Zeta Makrypoulia and follows the story of their characters' son turning 18. ## Timeline ### 2026-10-08: Giannis Tsimitselis addresses rift with Dimitris Ungarezos on ANT1 Actor Giannis Tsimitselis addressed his public rift with Dimitris Ungarezos during an interview on ANT1, wishing him well while also discussing his upcoming film sequel with Zeta Makrypoulia. 6 sources. https://clstr.news/cluster/giannis-tsimitselis-addresses-rift-with-dimitris-ungarezos-on-ant1 ### 2026-09-26: Giannis Tsimitselis discusses family roots and future relocation Actor Giannis Tsimitselis discussed his desire to move away from Athens, his roots in Mesolonghi, and his deep admiration for his mother, whom he described as a heroic figure. 3 sources. https://clstr.news/cluster/giannis-tsimitselis-discusses-family-roots-and-future-relocation --- Cite as: Greek actor Giannis Tsimitselis media appearances.
