Greek athletes Tasos Hajgiovanis and Tasos Chatzigiovanis have publicly addressed their experiences with donations made to the NGO ‘Paidiki Chara’. Both individuals spoke at the Professional Footballers Association of Greece (PSAPP) awards regarding financial assistance intended for a child named Dimitris, who was battling cancer and has since passed away.

During these appearances, the athletes raised concerns regarding the NGO. Hajgiovanis addressed allegations that the organization allegedly exploited the names of public figures to collect donations for personal luxury rather than charitable purposes. Chatzigiovanis expressed being troubled by recent developments involving the organization, though he clarified that he personally initiated his donations and was only asked to share posts to raise awareness.
