Recent developments in Greek local government have seen leadership shifts in two different municipalities.

In Aigialeia, Nikos Karaiskos resigned as Deputy Mayor, overseeing Cleanliness, Environment, Greenery, and Civil Protection, as well as his role as president of the Corinthian Local Government Development Company. In a letter to Mayor Panagiotis Andriopoulos, Karaiskos cited a lack of support and the “systematic devaluation” of his team’s efforts as his reasons for leaving, though he intends to remain a municipal councilor.

In the Municipality of Argos-Mykines, Faidra Xentaropoulou resigned from her position as a municipal councilor. Mayor Giannis Maltezos noted that her resignation was due to professional obligations requiring her to be away from the area. Vasilis Litsogiannis has been appointed to take over her duties on the council.
